There are obviously many things that need to be done when running a business. Chief among those tasks is to get customers to buy your product. Many factors come into play with growing a customer base such as various forms of marketing and advertising, a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, customer support, etc. It can be overwhelming at times. The best thing for everybody is education. I don’t mean that you have to go get a PHD. I mean to educate both you and your customers. Educate yourself by learning what will allow you to organize your business the best. Typically, investing in a good multipurpose CRM allows several processes to be streamlined.

A multipurpose CRM is a CRM solution that allows you to combine multiple systems into one. The Soffront CRM application allows for email marketing, provides a customer management system, and allows the same capabilities as project management software. Having a CRM like this allows your business to save money by not having to pay for multiple systems. It also streamlines all the processes because the multipurpose CRM allows you to have all those capabilities into one solution versus several. This is one very important aspect in educating yourself.

Educating Your Customers

On the other side of the coin, educating your customers and potential customers is quite important too. This does a couple things for your client base and potential client base. It shows that you care about your customers by providing them educational material to learn about their recently purchased product. The other thing educating people does is it builds trust with your current customers and shows potential customers that you don’t just want to sell your product without supporting it.

There are multiple ways to go about educating a customer base about their product.

One way is to have training sessions to be able to teach customers about what they purchased and how to use it effectively. There are a couple ways to do that. There could be one on one training packages that are offered. Maybe there can be training webinars customers can attend. Another avenue you could try is to make step by step instructional videos those customers can find on YouTube. Google is an amazing tool! It can find almost anything when searched for.

Another effective method in educating current and potential clients is a blog. Here are a couple important figures that you may not have been aware of. According to HubSpot, “57% of marketers acquired customers from blogging.” A company called Content+ put in some research and made an infographic that can be viewed here. One of the more interesting statistics from Content+ is, “37% of marketers say blogs are the most valuable type of content marketing.”

I never thought too much of blogs. That might seem strange coming from the person who wrote this one. I thought about it for a few minutes, and I realized that these are very interesting statistics. How many times have you searched around for a product before you purchased it? I know I’ve read several blog posts reviewing products and educating myself. I’ve also read several blog posts in search of an answer for a technical problem. Why can’t those blogs be from your company? That gives you instant credibility with a potential customer. You’ve just done the lion’s share of your work right there by simply having a blog written.
